Default Trouble login in?

Has anyone had this problem logging in.

After entering login name and password, I get the following message:-

Checking client version ...
Version check error. Unable to connect.

I have no clue as to what to do next?
Obviously I can’t connect, it's probably something simple but I can't figure it out.

The fire wall and the router settings all seems ok, any suggestions?

Thanks
Geoff.

Hi Geoff,

This often happens on the demo server, probably nothing at you end.

It usually clears up after a few minutes.

Hi dominator,

Thanks for taken the time and trouble to respond.
Unfortunately, it hasn’t cleared up and I’m still getting the same the error message!

Obviously I can access the internet with all other software installed on my computer as usual but just not with Visual Trader, it’s really frustrating.

Any other ideas or thoughts?

Thanks.

Not sure about this.

If you have software such as Nortons or something similar, try disabling it for a while and see if the problem goes.

Hello,

First try disabling any firewall and/or anti-virus software you have enabled on your PC. This ensures VT Trader has clear access to the Internet. If this works then it's likely a setting in one of those softwares that you'll need to sort out to properly allow VT Trader access while maintaining your firewall and anti-virus integrity. Also, if it's been awhile since you last logged into the account (and it's a demo account) you may want to check with your broker to ensure the account hasn't been disabled. Lastly, you can try uninstalling the current version, downloading the most current version from vtsystems.com or cmsfx.com and installing VT Trader fresh.

Regards,
Chris
