Default Macd Dema smoothed

Hi all,
Can anybody help me write this code for VT?

MACD (DEMA-smoothed)

shortperiods:=Input("Enter the shorter DEMA periods: ",3,20,8.3897);
longperiods:=Input("Enter the longer DEMA periods: ",13,50,17.5185);
signal:=Input("Enter the number of signal line periods: ",3,50,9.0503);
Dema(C,shortperiods)-Dema(C,longperiods);
Mov(Dema(C,shortperiods)-Dema(C,longperiods),signal,E)

Regards,
HarryFx

Default DEMA MACD

Hello Henry
I tested it by downloading it myself and importing it into VT. it worked fine if anybody else is having this problem please let me know. In the meantime I know you have some experience with coding in VT so. I will post the coding for you I have made the inputs the same as the regular MacD. So all you will have to do is bring up the MacD. from your toolbar and hit the clone button. Once the clone is created change the name to DEMA MACD and the short name to DMacD then go into formula wipe out the old formula and pace this. In the clone.

FL:= Mov(Mov( pr,Sh,tpma ),SH,TPMA) - Mov(Mov( pr,Lg,tpma ),LG,TPMA);
SL:= Mov(Mov(Mov( pr,Sh,tpma ),SH,TPMA) - Mov(Mov( pr,Lg,tpma ),LG,TPMA),sig,tp1);
OsMA:=FL-SL;

The only input you will have to change is tp go to input and change it to TP1 the reason I changed this is in the past I have had problems as VT thinks TP means typical price. I had changed the default settings as well to the ones that provided in the Metastock coding. But that is something you can do as well. If you have any other questions please post them here.

Hi, Claude. Where did you get the values for the dema macd?
And would it be possible to do likewise with tema?
Cheers bantam
ps had no problems downloading it as an indicator.

Default TEMA MACD

Most of the formulas that I use come from translating the formulas that I have in my TradeStations 2000i. I have quite a collection that has accumulated over a period of time. As for the Tema MacD. This is what I have as a formula for it. It is extremely fast so you might want to change the settings. Or maybe you just want it for a trigger. I see quite a few interesting trading systems that you have been putting up. That is a lot of Good work.

Thanks, Claude, it keeps me off the streets at night (and helps to keep the old timers disease at bay). I've had a look at it and I think I see a few questions if the thinking cap doesn't work. Cheers bantam
